Ansuman
When King Sagara held Aswamedha Yadnya (horse sacrifice), horses were used as an important means for the ceremony was stolen by the god Indra . Raja Sagara deployed sixty thousand sons to look for the horse. Finally, the sons of Sagara found the horse near the sage Kapila who are pro meditation . Actually, Lord Indra who cleverly accidentally left the horse there. Feeling that the sage who had stolen the horse, the sons of Sagara sage Kapila wake. With a look that exudes anger, the sage burning sixty thousand sons of Sagara with his eyes. After a long time the sons of Sagara did not return to bring results, he sent to Ansuman trace them.
Ansuman found that the horse was in a dorm Sage Kapila . He was both pleased and puzzled because he saw a pile of ashes and bones were scattered around the place. At the direction of the Garuda , Ansuman know that pile of ashes and bones from the bodies of sixty thousand uncles. Garuda to advise that the only water Ganges coming down from heaven, that is able to purify souls sixty thousand sons of Sagara. Some versions say that the sage Kapila himself advising Ansuman to bring down the Ganges from heaven to purify the souls of the uncle. After receiving the order, Ansuman back to before King Sagara and finish Aswamedha Yadnya held by the king.
After the death of King Sagara, Ansuman replaced him. Ansuman has a son named Dilipa , and Dilipa has a son named Bhagiratha . In the reign of Bhagiratha, Ganga river , was derived from heaven.
